イベント・シリーズ「Sex Tags Set-Up Tokyo」は、2015年よりDJ Sotofettが毎年行っているジャパン・ツアーの一環として、東京・桜台のpoolを会場に開催されてきました。そこでは、実験音楽やディープ・リスニングなどのコンセプトの元、DJ SotofettとOsaruxo & Diskomoによるライブに加え、Vera Dvale、Yoshinori Hayashi、Aonami、HARETSU、bikiがフィーチャーされていました。
今年の「Sex Tags Set-Up Tokyo」は下北沢のSPREADに場所を移し、ノルウェーと日本のアーティスト達が集結して実験音楽、ハードコア、ダンスホール、アンビエント、テクノ、そして電化ジャズなどの枠組みの中で、未発表作品、セミ・ライブ、DJセットなどをお届けします。
Since 2015 the event series "Sex Tags Set-Up Tokyo" has been organized at the venue Pool in Tokyo as part of DJ Sotofett's annual Japan tours. The evenings have featured experimental music and deep listening concepts with Vera Dvale, Yoshinori Hayashi, Aonami alongside the yearly live concert by DJ Sotofett with Osaruxo & Diskomo. This year "Sex Tags Set-Up Tokyo" has been moved to Spread in Tokyo with Norwegian and Japanese artists presenting a mix of unreleased productions, semi-live concerts and DJ-sets in the frame of Experimental Music, Hardcore, Dancehall, Ambient, Techno and a touch of Electronic Jazz.

SICK POPEはノルウェー・エーストフォール出身の謎めいたハードコア・テクノの司祭です。その音楽はヘビーでアシッドなスラマーから、クラシックで馬鹿げたガバのバンガーに及ぶ。しかしデトロイトや、よりダビーなハード・テクノの側面が、ストレートで骨太な真にハードコアらしいアプローチに忍び込んでいるのも事実である。日本初上陸となるSick Popeは、狂騒的なカット・アップや歪んだキックなど、これまで聴くことができなかったトラックを披露します。

SICK POPE is Østfold Norways secret Hardcore Techno priest. The music pends from heavy acidic slammers towards banging and classically "clowny" Gabber. But there's also a hint of Detroit and more dubby Hard Techno spheres sneaking into the straight to the bone, and real deal Hardcore approach. Sick Pope will play for the first time in Japan and presents brand new frenetic cut ups and distorted kicks – all exclusive tracks never heard before.

大阪出身で東京を拠点に活動するDISKOMOは、国内外のアーティストとのイベント・シリーズである Body Metaやβetamaxを通じて自身の音楽を紹介してきた。東京のpoolで毎年行われていたOsaruxo、DJ SotofettとDiskomoによるコラボレーションの模様を収録したSex Tags Amfibiaからのリリース「Live at pool」にも全面的にフィーチャーされている。また、Diskomoは、DJ Sotofettのハウスやジャズ作品の制作パートナーであり、スタジオ・ミュージシャンでもある。この日のために、Diskomoは国産のダンスホール・レゲエをプレイします。

DISKOMO from Tokyo presents his music through the event series Bodymeta and Betamax with Japanese and international artists. He's also featured on Sex Tags Amfibia's "Live at Pool" release that are all recordings from the annual concert collaboration between Osaruxo, DJ Sotofett and Diskomo at Pool in Tokyo. Diskomo is also a production partner and studio musician for several of DJ Sotofett's House and Jazz productions. For the occasion Diskomo will play Japanese Dancehall and Reggae.

E-GZRは、ノルウェーのWANIAレーベルの「テクノイド的」、「金属工学的」なサイドキックと呼べる存在だ。クラシックなテクノにディープでダビーなアプローチを施し、WANIAから次々と12インチをリリースしている。また、Tresor RecordsからのLNSとDJ Sotofettによるアルバム「Sputters」では、オープニング・トラックでフィーチャーされている。テクノ、エレクトロ系ではAlex Cortex、LNS、Sex tags Mania / SuedのXI、PsyPalのRonny Nyheimのリミックスを手がける。E-GZRは今回が日本デビュー公演となる。

E-GZR can be called the "technoid" and "metalurgic" side-kick of Norway's WANIA label. With his deep and dubby approach to Classic Techno he's been releasing a string of 12" on WANIA. He's also featured on Tresor Records with the opening track for the "Sputters" album by LNS & DJ Sotofett. In a suitable Techno & Electro fashion E-GZR has remixed Alex Cortex, LNS, XI (from Sex tags Mania / Sued fame), as well as Ronny Nyheim for PsyPal. This will be E-GZR's debut performance in Japan!

OSARUXOは東京出身のヴァイオリン奏者で、DJ Sotofettが毎年東京のpoolで行っているライブに2015年からレギュラーで協力している。彼らは共にHonest Jon's Recordsから10インチ「Hebi/Haru」もリリースしている。OsaruxoはSotofettのアルバム「The Buy Out」や、林良憲の「Waterwheel Scenery (DJ Sotofett's Dubcurve Fix-Mix feat. Osaruxo)」の異例のリミックス・コラボにも参加している。今回のイベントでは、OsaruxoはMørke PatrickまたはDJ Sotofettとライブを行う予定です。

OSARUXO is a violin player from Tokyo and has been a regular collaborator with DJ Sotofett on their annual live concerts at Pool in Tokyo since 2015. Together they have also released the 10" "Hebi/Haru" on Honest Jon's Records. Osaruxo is also featured on Sotofett's "The Buy Out" album and on the exceptional remix collaboration for Yoshinori Hayashi's "Waterwheel Scenery (DJ Sotofett’s Dubcurve Fix-Mix feat. Osaruxo)". For this event Osaruxo will perform live with either Mørke Patrick or DJ Sotofett.

ノルウェー・リュッゲ出身のMØRKE PATRICKは、「ノルウェーの知られざるノイズ・ミュージック界の番長」と呼ばれ、5枚のソロアルバムをすべて2週間以内に制作・発表したことは彼の最も大きな仕事である。メロディックでシンコペーションの効いたリズムに、硬質なテクスチャーとディストーションが交差する音楽は、間違いなく特異なものだ。ユーモアを交えた彼のインダストリアルでオールドスクールなアヴァンギャルド音楽は、クラシックなノイズ・ミュージックの世界を垣間見せながらも、エンターテイメントとして十分な短さを保っています。本イベントでMørke Patrickは日本初となるセミ・ライブ演奏を披露します。

MØRKE PATRICK from Rygge in Norway has been called "the unknown watchdog of Norwegian Noise Music" and his biggest work is five solo albums all made and released within two weeks. The music is undoubtedly idiosyncratic with gritty textures and distortions crossing out melodic as well as syncopated off scale rhythms. With a fair share of humor his industrial and "old school avante garde" music is a peak into classic Noise Music, but all kept short enough to be entertaining. On this event Mørke Patrick will perform semi-live, for the first time in Japan.

DJ ZONE OUTは、偽造された未来派エスノ・アンビエントをプレイするディスク・ジョッキーです。東京を拠点とするこのアーティストについて、Zone Outが生涯の情熱として深い音楽研究に取り組んでいること以外は、ほとんど知られていない。Sex Tags Set-Up Tokyoでは、他のアーティストと共に1つまたは複数の短いセットを行う予定です。
DJ ZONE OUT is a Disk Jockey who plays forged and futuristic "Ethno Ambient". Little is publicly known about this Tokyo based artist except that Zone Out is engaging in deep musical research as a lifelong passion. For Sex tags Tokyo Set-Up he will perform one or more short sets to accompany the other acts.

DJ SOTOFETTは、その作品、幅広いコラボレーション、無数の別名義で、過去20年間のノルウェーの拡張されたクラブ＆レフトフィールド・シーンから最も多くリリースしているアーティストの一人です。彼のレーベルSex Tags Mania (2004年〜)は、転位されたテクノ・ハウス音楽を発表し、Sex Tags Amfibia (2005年〜)は、ダブ、実験、ジャズ、サイケデリック音楽の領域をカバーするプロジェクトを発表しています。Sotofettは、主に自身のスタジオからテクノ系のリリースを行うクラブ・インプリント、Wania (2010年〜)も運営しており、アフロ、ダブ、ジャズの作品はロンドンのHonest Jon's Recordsから、よりクラシックなエレクトロ、テクノはTresor Records、Laton、Fit Detroitからリリースされている。DJとしての音楽的源泉は、過去50年のサウンドシステム・ミュージックに根ざしている。
DJ SOTOFETT is with his productions, wide spanned collaborations & myriad of aliases one of the most releasing artists from Norway's extended club & leftfield scene the last two decades. His Sex Tags Mania (2004) label presents transposed techno & house music, the Sex Tags Amfibia (2005) platform outlets projects in the vain of dub, experimental, jazz & psychedelic music. Sotofett's runs Wania (2010) a club imprint for technoid releases mostly from his own studio. His afro, dub & jazz productions can be found on London institution Honest Jon's Records, and the more classic electro & techno is released by Tresor Records, Laton and Fit Detroit. As a DJ, the musical re-source is simply rooted in our past five decades of sound system music.
